we spent the few days after our wedding in the red rock deserts of southern utah. it was cold and beautiful.

we have a home! a small, cinderblock box home, but nevertheless, a home. our first home together. these photos are a bit outdated--i recently refurnished with some artwork and book shelves--but this is the general idea of our second-floor studio apartment (don't worry, we have a closet and a bathroom as well. i just chose not to photograph them). note that there is plenty of space for an air mattress on the floor or an extra body on the couch, as well as spare chairs for dinner guests. keep us company!

thursday, trenton and i celebrated being in love by watching the sun rise and eating powdered donuts. what a dream, that boy.

on a day before we were married and before i cut off more than a foot of my hair, we set out on a bicycle adventure towards the north shore. stopping along the way to surf, eat fruit, and take naps, we worked our way slowly up the kamehameha highway, soaking in sunshine rays and surreal scenery. it was a dream and one of my favorite days, favorite string of moments. its days like that--when the sky is clear and the sun creates a sort of magic yellow haze-- that make the rainy ones like today worth it.

someday i'm going to write an elaborately ruthless critique of social media and the self-worshipping, self-hating zombies it mass produces. but for now, i'm going to check my facebook and keep working on my paper. bleh
